G'bye...for now

As some of you may know, last Wednesday started Lent, the 40 day period before Easter where Catholics and some Protestant denominations increase prayer, fasting, and etc. Another Catholic blogger, a friend of a friend of a friend (or something like that) named Paul traditionally stops posting on his blog for all forty days of Lent. It occured to me that this was a pretty good idea, so I think I'll do it myself, at least for this year.
So, for the remaining thirty-something days until Easter, I won't be posting anymore. Come Easter, I'll get back to it--though I don't know how much difference that will make, me being the procrastinator I am. Anyhoo...
See you all on Easter.

Wanted: Germ Nuke

Maaaaaaaaaan....can't wait for spring. I love living in the Tri-Cities, but winters here are a healthy helping of yuck. We don't get much snow, but plenty of cold weather, grey days, early (and dark) nights, and germs. Especially this year. I've been sick pretty consistently for the past month, and it's getting old. Way back, after Thanksgiving, I came down with a fever and assorted cold symptoms, and was in a state of chilly, weary delerium only relieved by Ibuprofen for several days. Eventually, the bug backed off.
Then, about three weeks ago, the fever came back, once again with assorted cold symptoms...only assorted differently. Took me about a week to get over that. Then, last Sunday, I came down with another *beep*ing fever (during my little brother's birthday party at Chuck E. Cheeses. Not a good place to get feverish at, lemme tell you). Now, less than a week, numerous fever relief tablets, dietary supplements, and about half a bottle of Amoxicillin pills later, I'm pretty thoroughly recovered. Again.
Maybe February will be a healthier month. Better be.
